About Dae
Born in South Korea, Dae immigrated to the U.S. with his family as a child. He excelled in sports and music throughout school. Dae earned an Associate degree at Diablo Valley College, where his involvement in a weight-training program began. As a personal trainer at a local health club, he discovered he had an extraordinary talent for engaging and guiding his clients toward their health and fitness goals. His friendly and open nature enabled them to relax, have fun, and achieve weight-loss, strength, and conditioning success. He also realized that he not only connected with his clients’ goals, but also their personalities.
A few years ago in Hawaii, he suffered a brain trauma that almost cost him his life. In a coma for days, he had lost his ability to walk, speak, and eat. Doctors were unable to reach a conclusive diagnosis. After five weeks in the hospital, followed by three months of physical, occupational, and speech therapies, Dae set out to devise his own daily strength training and conditioning. His desire to be well and whole again formed the basis of his enduring dedication to personal training.
Dae is certificated by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has plans to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He trains and helps people from all walks of life.
